Bound volume containing manuscript texts on binding and imposition, with recipes for marbling, gilding and printers ink, copied from contemporary publications. Pages 1-44 contain "The art of bookbinding &c" transcribed from the Whole art of bookbinding (Oswestry, 1811). Pages 45 through 68 contain "Miscellaneous recipes" for marbling, inks, gilding manuscripts, printing in gold, etc., source unknown. At the back of the volume are 26 unnumbered pages containing "The Whole art of imposing" transcribed from the Printer's grammar (London, 1808), and 6 unnumbered pages containing "Typographical Song" transcribed from The Mirror of literature, amusement, and instruction, v. 2 (Aug. 2, 1823).
